बचाओ.club ("Bachao.club") operates an online marketplace offering discounted food and kitchen staples, personal care, baby care, and Ayurvedic wellness products delivered across India. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, what personal information we collect through our website and app, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights available to you. By visiting bachao.club, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in three broad categories:
a) Information you give us directly
- Name, mobile number, email address, and date of birth when you register or check out.
- Delivery address and pincode, used to confirm serviceability and route your order.
- Order history, wishlist items, product reviews, and any messages you send our customer support team.
- Information you provide if you contact us for order changes, returns, or grievance redressal.
b) Information collected automatically
- Device identifiers, IP address, browser type, operating system, and approximate location derived from your pincode or IP.
- Pages viewed, products searched, items added to cart, session duration, and referring links, collected through cookies, SDKs, and similar technologies.
- Log files maintained for security, fraud detection, and service reliability.
c) Information from third parties
- Delivery status updates from our logistics partners.
- Payment confirmation status from payment gateways and banks (never full card or bank credentials — see Section 2).
- Basic profile details if you choose to sign in using a third-party account (such as Google), limited to what that provider shares with your consent.
2. Payment Information
Bachao.club does not collect, view, or store your full credit card, debit card, UPI PIN, or net-banking credentials on its own servers. When you check out, your payment details are captured and processed directly by our RBI-regulated payment gateway partner(s) over an encrypted connection. We only receive a payment success/failure status and a masked reference (such as the last four digits of a card) to confirm your order.
Cash on Delivery (COD) orders are handled by our delivery partners at the time of delivery and are subject to the COD terms shown at checkout.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process, pack, ship, and deliver your orders, including COD collection and pincode-based serviceability checks.
- Verify your identity, prevent fraudulent orders, and manage payment or delivery risk.
- Provide customer support, handle returns, refunds, and respond to your queries or grievances.
- Personalise the products, deals, and Ayurvedic or wellness recommendations you see, based on your browsing and order history.
- Send order confirmations, delivery updates, and — where you have opted in — promotional messages about new arrivals, super discounts, and best deals.
- Maintain and improve the security, performance, and functionality of our website and app.
- Comply with applicable Indian tax, consumer protection, and legal record-keeping obligations.
6. Cross-Border Data Transfers
Some of our technology service providers (such as cloud hosting or analytics platforms) may process data on servers located outside India. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure such providers maintain security and confidentiality standards consistent with this policy and applicable Indian law.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account and order information for as long as your account is active and thereafter for as long as needed to comply with tax, accounting, consumer protection, and other legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account at any time, as described in Section 9; certain order records may still be retained where the law requires it.
8. How We Protect Your Data
We follow reasonable security practices and procedures in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, including:
- Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) between your device and our servers.
- Access controls that limit who within our team can view customer information, on a need-to-know basis.
- Regular monitoring for unauthorised access, and secure storage of any information we retain.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security, and we encourage you to also keep your account credentials confidential.
9. Your Rights & Choices
In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian law, you have the right to:
- Accessa summary of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correctinaccurate or incomplete information in your account.
- Withdraw consentfor marketing communications at any time, without affecting past order processing.
- Request deletionof your account and associated personal information, subject to our legal retention obligations.
- Nominateanother individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
- Lodge a complaintwith our Grievance Officer (Section 11) or, where applicable, with the Data Protection Board of India.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at the email address in Section 12. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
10. Children's Privacy
Bachao.club is intended for use by adults capable of entering into a binding contract under Indian law. While we sell baby care products, our platform itself is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.
11. Grievance
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, we have provided a email id to address any complaints regarding this policy or your personal information.
